Lego has recovered a domain following a UDRP dispute at the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Centre.

The toy bricks company had alleged that lovelego.com was intentionally registered in bad faith to create confusion for internet users and gain commercially.

Lego contended that the original registrant of the domain had no rights to the domain.

The domain displayed a message offering it for sale, as well as links that directed to sites that were selling unauthorised LEGO merchandise.

The registrant did not submit a formal response to Lego’s complaint, but did ask for proceedings to take place in Korean.

Sole panellist Thomas Pinansky ordered the disputed domain transferred to Lego after finding it to have been registered in bad faith.
