88 ICH inheritors awarded certificates

The certificate awarding ceremony for State-level Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors was held at the Great Hall of the People on the 28th. State Councilor Chen Zhili awarded certificates for 88 inheritors of the second batch of State-level Intangible Cultural Heritages.

Minister of Culture Sun Jiazheng said that, the Ministry of Culture (MOC) will draw up Interim Measures on the Identification and Management of Inheritors of National Intangible Cultural Heritage, collect and record relevant skills and properly fund the ICH education and training activities.

The MOC will also organize seminars, exhibitions and other publicity activities, promote exchanges and cooperation and establish files for representative inheritors, so as to set up a long-term protection mechanism. [Chinese version is available on Chinanews.com.cn]
