China speeds up legislation of folk arts copyright

From March 31 to April 1, National Copyright Administration (NCAC) and Ministry of Culture (MOC) jointly held the South China Copyright Seminar on Folk Literary and Artistic Works in Hunan.

The participants held in-depth discussions on the key issues related to the "Regulations on the Copyright Protection for Folk Literary and Artistic Works (Draft)", which means the NCA has accelerated the legislation process.

It is learnt that the legislative work on copyright protection of folk literary and artistic works has been included in the legislation plan of the State Council. [Chinese version is available on China Press and Publication News]
