WIPO official: China's Olympic IPR protection is efficient

WIPO Assistant Director-General Ms. Wang Binying said on the 16th in Beijing that China's Olympic IPR protection work is timely and effective.

Wang Binying accepted the interview during the opening of the "Sino-African Workshop for Heads of Intellectual Property Offices". She said that from the WIPO's perspective, the measures taken by Chinese government on Olympic IPR protection are timely and fruitful as well.

She added that China also provides good experience for the future hosting countries of Olympic Games.

It is learnt that for the success of the Beijing Olympics, China has taken substantial measures to protect the Olympic intellectual property rights, for example, developing special regulations for Olympic symbols, establishing a relatively sound legal system for Olympic IPR protection, etc..
