A famous example of trade secrets protection
font-size:
In May, 2006, Pepsi received a letter from un-named individuals that offered to sell trade secret information “owned” by Coke to Pepsi. Pepsi immediately notified The Coca-Cola Company officials. Coke notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI]. The FBI later arrested three individuals who were facing criminal charges.
It is important to understand that trade secret protection is LOST when the trade secret enters the public domain.
